Composition and Tenure

The Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution will, as its name suggests, exist for a limited period from its inception in January 2011. Article 7 of the Sixth Schedule, Constitution of Kenya 2010:
(7) The Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution shall stand dissolved five years after it is established or at the full implementation of this Constitution as determined by Parliament, whichever is sooner, but the National Assembly may, by resolution, extend its life.
This means that the Commission will stand dissolved in January of 2016, hopefully after all constitutional implementation timelines have been met.
